Melton OSHClub is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to provide engaging services for children in our before and after school care capacity. This is a permanent part-time opportunity for 28:00 hours per week guaranteed, assisting in leading a team of Educators at a large service (91 licence capacity) in the western suburb of Melbourne - Melton. This is a fantastic opportunity for those looking for a step up in their career, willing to support the service Coordinators, actively assisting with broad service management and contributing to quality programming.

**Hours are as follows**: Monday - Friday, 06:45 - 09:00 AM (Rise then Shine Program) and 03:00 - 06:00 PM (Stay and Play Program) + additional admin hours to assist the Coordinator when needed. You can pick up extra hours during the school holidays too

In addition to a competitive salary, there is also a $1,500 signing bonus at the completion of first month plus a $1,500 loyalty bonus at 12 months + split shift allowance + uniform allowance + other benefits + super.

About the role

Assist in leading a team of Educators, you will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years. You'll have the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.

Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into
Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents.
Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management.
Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration.

About the school

Melton OSHClub is an existing large and vibrant service with an average morning attendance of up to 10-15 children and afternoon attendance of up to 30-40 children. We have our own OSHClub space set up at this beautiful service with additional use of a joining small gym as well for our OSHClub children to use. We also have some walk over kids from another school as well at this service. This is a super busy service with some challenging behaviours, and we are looking for an Educator who is experienced and confident.

Who are we looking for?

We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids
Strong and clear communication
Team player with a desire to become a service leader Experience working in service environment, preferably one who has supported challenging behaviours and/or additional needs.
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children
