**Mechanical Fitter**:

**Ventia** are currently looking to engage an experienced **Mechanical Fitter** to join our Defence Base Services contract. Reporting to the Powerhouse Manager, this position will see you based at HMAS Stirling / Garden Island, Rockingham WA, and working within the Powerhouse Team performing maintenance works on a range of systems.

This position is a full-time permanent role, working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:00am - 03:30pm (with overtime opportunities) and 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month.
- T_o be_ considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check._

**Key duties, but not limited to**:

- Maintenance work on ships and submarine performing over the side services
- Perform ongoing maintenance activities on a variety of systems including wastewater treatment plant, HVAC system within the Powerhouse, and Low-Pressure Air systems
- Wharf systems maintenance including valves and pipework
- Operating and maintenance of the CEPS and other support systems of the Powerhouse
- Concise defect reporting and repair actions to the assigned supervisor
- Complete work orders and verify tasks in accordance with client requirements
- First point of call for all estate upkeep faults around HMAS Stirling during work hours

**Requirements**:

- Trade Certificate - Mechanical Fitter
- Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
- Driver’s License
- Experience with fresh & saltwater fire suppression systems
- Experience with vacuum sewage storage & removal as well as small & large pumps - Highly regarded
- Experience with lock out /tag out procedures
