**Your opportunity**:
We have an exciting initial 12 month contract for a seasoned security professional to join our enterprise Security and Resilience Team.

The **Protective Security Lead** is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the protective security framework and related work programs within Urban Utilities. The role is centred on safeguarding the organization's assets, employees, and information, while fostering a strong security culture throughout the business. Some key accountabilities include:

- Drive the development, delivery, and enhancement of the best-practice Protective Security Framework and its underlying strategies, ensuring widespread integration across the organisation.
- Lead a security risk management program aimed at guiding effective business decision-making and implementing robust security risk controls and investments.
- Coordinate Security incidents and investigations while also closely monitoring security risks.
- Develop, deliver, and seamlessly integrate a specialized training and proficiency program to facilitate the implementation of security plans, procedures, and arrangements.
- Ensure vigilant monitoring and effective management of Security compliance requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide assurance to our Executive and Board regarding the adept handling of security risks and adherence to regulatory obligations, all in your capacity as a project lead.

**About You**:

- Formal qualifications or relevant experience in Security Management / Risk / Governance, Security Operations or Cyber Security or related management fields
- It would be favourable to have a formal qualification or relevant experience in Risk Management, Emergency/ Disaster Management, Business Resilience or Business Management
- 6-10 years in-depth security industry experience in a relevant industry
- Management experience - planning and managing resources with 3-6 years’ experience
