Fugro’s Geoconsulting business is a global provider of consultancy services within the fields of geology, geoscience, geophysics and geotechnical engineering. Our team based in Perth, West Australia, focuses on marine projects predominantly in the offshore energy sectors in Australia and the Asia Pacific region and is continuing to see an in strong increase in the demand for our services, especially in the offshore renewables market. We are looking to expand our team by adding several **Geologists / Geoscientists and/or Senior Geologists / Geoscientists **who are keen to support this growing industry.

These roles work under direct supervision of a principal geoscientist on tasks in the field of geology and geoscience compiling desk studies or analysing geohazards affecting offshore energy developments. You will be responsible for the completion of specified technical tasks or project elements in an independent manner. You will be required to take on management of key technical activities and begin to mentor more junior staff as required. You will have the opportunity to become more involved in aspects of project management and client development, particularly within the offshore renewables market in the Asia Pacific region.

Fugro is interested to hear from geologists and geoscientists who meet the following general requirements:

- Individuals should hold a degree in a relevant discipline. (e.g., geology / engineering geology / geoscience / geophysics or a related discipline)
- Advanced degrees (Masters and PhDs) are common in our team and would be advantageous for this position.
- Be creative and willing to consider new approaches to solving problems.
- Equally enjoy being able to work as part of a team, or on their own.
- Enjoy a challenge, learning new skills, and be prepared to go the extra-mile to meet our clients’ expectations.
- We are looking for experience or qualifications in marine site characterisation.
- Practical offshore geotechnical experience will be an advantage as would having an interest in working offshore.
- Senior level staff should generally have 4+ years of experience, preferably in a consulting environment.

Responsibilities include:

- Preparing ground and geological models, geohazard analyses and compiling technical reports to be reviewed and approved by a Technical Authority.
- Preparing presentations and workshops of the work performed informing Clients of the outcomes and likely next steps in their offshore project developments in both the growing offshore renewables and oil and gas sectors.
- Demonstrating proficient report/proposal writing and verbal communication skills with relevant stakeholders
- The ability to identify additional project opportunities, particularly within ongoing packages of work.
- The ability and willingness to perform offshore field work and travel would be an advantage.
