**About the role**
This is a **permanent/full-time **position working **38 hours** a week located at **Nowra Acquatic Park**. This role is responsible for coordinating and supervising maintenance and repairs works around Council's northern precinct as well as inspect and rectify hazards within these facilities.
**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Precinct Coordinator - North, the focus of this position is to:
- Update and maintain Playground Database Software
- Develop and implement installation and maintenance programs for irrigation systems, floodlights and other assets
- Conduct site assessments and inspections
- Prepare simple job progress reports
- Assist with the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and floodlights
- Participate in construction and maintenance of playgrounds, drainage, pedestrian access to facilities and other assets including pipe laying, installation of fences, vegetation control, tree removal etc.
**Skills & Experience**
To be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:
- Carpentry, Landscaping, Arboriculture or related trade and/or relevant experience
- Current National WHS Construction Card
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship
- Experience in maintaining playgrounds, sports fields, showgrounds, or parks construction projects
- Current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain
