**Qualifications**:

- Australian recognised Trade Certificate (i.e. Heavy Diesel/ Heavy Plant Fitter)
- Current Heavy Rigid Drivers Licence or higher
- LF HRWL (desirable)
- Fire Suppression Ticket (desirable)
- Welding certification (desirable but not essential)
- License to Perform High Risk Work Crane Ticket (CV) (desirable)
- License to Perform High Risk Work Dogging (DG) (desirable)
- License to Perform High Risk Work Rigging (RB) (desirable)

**Experience**:

- Ideally with “Marine Engineer or Marine Fitter” background and with strong background in Hydraulic
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience
- DE 880/840 Sandvik Drill Rigs experience (desirable)
- MAN, MERC, HINO Trucks experience (desirable)
- Toyota LV experience (desirable)
- Solid history of working with mining equipment
- Experience working in a mining environment
- Working in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat.
- Highly skilled in diagnostics and fault finding, including use of computer diagnostic equipment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
- Work on complex machinery and equipment, including examining and diagnosing faults
- Major repairs and servicing of all drilling and support equipment;
- Ensure equipment is maintained safely and timely to minimise cost and increase productivity
- Ensure that the field service truck is adequately stocked and maintained
- Undertake component change-outs as required
- Repair or examine blueprints, drawings or specifications to determine work methods, sequence of activities or manufacture of components
- Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
- Working with and liaising with drill supervisors to ensure equipment is operating without fault
- Undertake necessary risk and pre-task assessments;
- Flexibility to respond immediately to major breakdowns in the field
- Flexibility to work at different sites
- Technical guidance & field service support to operations personnel
- Promoting the correct daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of equipment to drillers and offsiders
- Working effectively with maintenance suppliers to achieve the best quality, reliability and product support of company's equipment
- Effective management of documentation and reporting as per client and company requirements.
- Carry out computer Diagnostics
- Ensure timely completion of planned maintenance and servicing activities
- Raise orders for parts as required.
- Attend all client pre-start and safety meetings as set by site and Company Requirements
- Ensure that the workplace is maintained in a clean and safe condition at all times.
- Participate in meetings, training and other health and safety activities and initiatives as requested by the Maintenance Manager
- Work under limited supervision as part of a team or individually
- Take direction from the Field Maintenance Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent
- Contact Maintenance Office regularly
- Abide by all Occupational Health & Safety laws and safe work practices as per company Drilling policy and procedures
