A position has opened at Our Lady of the Rosary Kellyville for a Sacramental Coordinator. The position is permanent part-time - approximately 15 hours per week. Some weekend and after-hours work will be required. Flexibility exists for the successful applicant to negotiate preferred working days and daily start and finishing times.

**Position Objective**

The Sacramental Coordinator provides services in the form of organising, preparing and the implementation of the parish programs for the Sacraments of Initiation and the Sacrament of Marriage to the parishioners.

**Key Accountabilities**

The Sacramental Coordinator works with the Sacramental Team (volunteers), Parish Secretary, Parish Priest and Assistant Priests of Our Lady of the Rosary to provide sacramental services.
- Provide a point of contact for parent's enquiries in relation to the parish programs for Sacraments of Initiation.
- Develop and provide a calendar of Sacramental events during the year and inform parents of dates of program meetings.
- Establishing and training a Sacramental Team, when necessary.
- Provision of content and presentation of preparation sessions.
- Ordering, compiling, preparing, and printing relevant course materials for parents and children's sessions, and other associated administration.
- Preparing the liturgical celebrations of the sacraments, in conjunction with the Sacramental Team and Liturgy Committee.
- Liaise with and provide support to families preparing for Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Baptism and RCIA.
- To cultivate a sense of prayer and worship in the life of children and their families.
- To support and respect the teachings of the Church and the ethos of the parish and Diocese.
- Liaise with the Diocese in relation to the relevant liturgies.
- Manage the records of the participants and preparation and distribution of certificates.
- Ordering appropriate medals, certificates, etc. for the celebration of the Sacraments.
- Evaluation of programs.
- Attendance of training as required.
- Prepare and maintain wedding records and certificates.
- And any other duties as directed from time to time.

**The successful applicant would need to**:

- Have the ability to facilitate sacramental related programs;
- Have practical and theological knowledge of Catholic rituals and practices;
- Have a strong commitment to the Catholic faith;
- Have a professional manner and excellent people skills;
- Have sound computer skills, attention to detail and a well-ordered approach to work;
- Demonstrate organisational, managerial and problem solving skills;
- Be able to act with discretion and to maintain complete confidentiality;
- Have a high level of experience in maintaining records accurately;
- Be able to delegate responsibility to other leaders and volunteers;
- Have a proactive approach and commitment to do whatever is necessary to ensure deadlines are met.

**Additional Requirements**
- Ensure compliance with relevant federal and state legislation (including child protection laws & Work Health and Safety) and Diocesan guidelines specified by the Professional Standards and Safeguarding Office and familiarity with mandatory reporting.
- Hold a valid NSW Working with Children's Clearance check (WWCC)
