Norco have an opportunity for an experienced NH3 (Ammonia) Refrigeration Technician to join our Maintenance Team at our ice cream factory in Lismore

This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and works a day shift, Monday - Friday.

**Key Responsibilities of this role include**:

- Provide day to day operation of all air, NH3 (Ammonia) refrigeration and steam systems for the site
- Respond to breakdowns, preventative and reactive maintenance and repairs
- Responsible for preparing new installations of NH3 (Ammonia) refrigerating systems
- Perform maintenance and repairs to defective equipment and testing components
- Perform pre-start inspections and keep an audit report
- Formulate effective preventative maintenance for the air, NH3 (Ammonia) refrigeration and steam systems
- Suggest modifications or improvements to plant to optimise operational performance

**What skills and experience are required to succeed in this role?**
- Relevant trade qualification
- NH3 (Ammonia) refrigeration experience
- Strong, ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety
- Understanding of food manufacturing processes and hygiene requirements
- Demonstrated skills in air, NH3 (Ammonia) refrigeration and steam systems
- Demonstrated skills in fault finding of air, NH3 (Ammonia) refrigeration and steam systems
- Understanding of PLC automation systems
- Mechanical aptitude, problem solving ability and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually when required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of and commitment to continuous improvement activities
