Applications are invited for the position of Chaplain at our Carrum Downs Campus, from passionate, caring and called individuals with a strong commitment to living out an authentic and missional Christian life and to making an impact in the lives of young people through Christian education.

Flinders Christian Community College is a co-educational, non-denominational College with campuses located at Tyabb, Carrum Downs and Mt Martha, offering education from K - 12.

Flinders College seeks to achieve long term educational outcomes related to student learning, wellbeing, and holistic formation. The Christian beliefs and values of the school provide a stable foundation for life in a changing world and equip students to face the challenges of life with hope and purpose for the future.

This is an exciting and challenging position for someone who can dynamically and relationally engage with young people in order to foster community that has the potential to lead to student transformation in an innovative and energetic educational environment.
- Create a culture of compassion and care in an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages and celebrates the Christian faith.
- Empower students to pursue an authentic expression of faith by communicating and championing the Christian story, beliefs and values within the school environment.
- Facilitate, attend or lead staff meetings at times of devotion, develop and coordinate a relevant and dynamic chapel services, and actively participate in student Retreats.
- Develop Christian leaders amongst students who actively engage with faith and assist them to develop hearts that love, minds that grow and lives that give back to the community.
- Previous experience working with young people, formal and informal missional training, and theological study would be advantageous.
- Job-sharing between multiple people and restructuring the role into part-time allotments if it will benefit the college and students.
- Flexible start date arrangements and the option of moulding the role around current and ongoing commitments.
