Samford Valley Steiner School (SVSS) is seeking a compassionate and creative **Boombana Teacher** to join our team in a part-time capacity (four days per week), starting in Term 1, 2025.

**About Us**
Our Boombana classroom offers a supportive environment for students who need additional assistance to meet curriculum goals. We provide a safe space for students to reset or engage in a program focused on emotional, social, and cognitive development, ensuring all students feel valued.

**About the Role**
As the Boombana Teacher, you will:

- Create an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students with sensory, learning, and developmental challenges.
- Design programs incorporating arts, crafts, movement, and outdoor activities that support emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
- Foster a classroom culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration.
- Work closely with the Primary School Director, Learning Enrichment Coordinators, and other staff to support students’ individual needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress and strategies for home support.
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant field.
- Teaching certification and registration, meeting the requirements of the Queensland College of Teachers.
- Familiarity with the Steiner educational philosophy and a passion for its principles.
- Prior experience teaching in a Steiner or Waldorf school

- Experience in inclusive education, preferably within a Steiner or Waldorf setting.
- A deep understanding of child development and the ability to adapt teaching for diverse learning styles.
- Creativity, flexibility, and patience in addressing individual student needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
