**Salary Package: Package up to $126,212 pa. Package includes salary range ($101,947 pa to $112,849 pa), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.**
**Location: Greenacre, with hybrid work from home flexibility**

**Who we are**

FRNSW is one of the world’s largest urban fire and rescue services and is the busiest in Australia. Our overriding purpose is to enhance community safety, quality of life, and confidence by minimising the impact of hazards and emergency incidents on the people, property, environment and economy of NSW. Our capabilities extend far beyond fighting fires. FRNSW firefighters are among the most highly trained in the world. Our teams provide fire prevention, they respond to hazardous materials incidents, natural disasters and medical emergencies. Our teams also undertake counter terrorism and urban search and rescue operations. We are prepared for anything - helping anyone, anywhere, anytime.

**About the Role**

As a Social Media Officer you will create and deliver contemporary, energetic and fit for purpose content for FRNSW, optimising audience appeal and reach through social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn as well as other tools.

You will also support the delivery of external activities and campaigns aligned to FRNSW strategic priorities.
- NOTE: The role is required to act as rostered weekend on-call media officer (see key accountabilities in the role description)._

**Key knowledge and experience**

1. Experience identifying and producing stories to appear to a wide range of audiences and ability to engage effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated ability to write plain English content for a range of media and audiences, along with attention to detail and editing skills.

**Essential Requirements**

Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent relevant experience.
