Western Star Civil and Construction is seeking a skilled Architectural Draftsperson to oversee residential housing projects from start to finish along with tendering and quoting expertise.

He/she must have more than 2years’ experiencein residential construction projects.

**Position**:Fulltime (38 hours per week).

**Location**:35 Charles Street St Marys 2760

**Responsibilities**:

- Support Construction Managers, Architects, and Surveyors with planning and organization
- Create preliminary sketches, detailed drawings, and specifications
- Manage project schedules and work programs
- Inspect work and materials to ensure they meet specifications, regulations, and standards
- Calculate costs and estimate project timelines
- Perform routine calculations and plot preliminary data
- Oversee all aspects of residential construction projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource management
- Coordinate with Architects, Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones
- Track and report project progress to stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to building codes, regulations, and safety standards
- Identify and address issues that could affect project deadlines or budget
- Work with internal teams to improve project delivery processes
- Conduct take-offs, estimate costs, and provide quotations to clients
- Understand local building codes to identify development opportunities in specific Sydney areas

**Requirements**:

- Diplomain Construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture ore related field, not a necessity but would be an advantage
- Proven knowledge and experience in Australian residential construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations
- Understanding of the building codes, able to communicate with our PCA (certifier) and other stakeholders
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Accountability for quality of work and meeting deadlines

**Skills**:

- Autocad
- Pryda or Bluebeam
- Microsoft Office

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
