**What You Will Be Doing**

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a valued and integral member of the Peninsula Health multidisciplinary team demonstrating flexibility in caring for women and their families. The student Midwife works competently within their scope of practice to deliver safe, evidence-based, women-centred care to achieve optimal health outcomes for the mother - baby dyad in the postpartum period and beyond.
Throughout the program the student is expected to deliver midwifery care at the level of a developing learner commensurate with the level of knowledge acquired through practical experience and academic knowledge. The Post Graduate Student is expected to work closely with the Peninsula Health Learning Hub to meet all requirements of the program.
This position is a fixed term 6-month contract followed by a permanent Registered Midwife contract after the successful completion of the Post Graduate Midwifery Program.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with minimum of one year's experience
- Must be currently enrolled in the graduate diploma of midwifery with Federation University

**Additional Requirements**

This role must be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 and meet the requirements of the Peninsula Health immunisation policy.
Please refer to salary circular for NURSES AND MIDWIVES (VICTORIAN PUBLIC SECTOR) (SINGLE INTEREST EMPLOYERS) ENTERPRISE AGREEMENT 2020-2024 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
