Night Watch

Yulong Stud have an opportunity available for an experienced person to join our team as a weekend night watch foaling attendant.

Starting at the end of February, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of a small number of Northern Hemisphere foals.

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following skills and attributes:

- Experience foaling mares with the ability to identify and manage difficult foalings
- Ability to administer Oral, IM and IV medications and knowledge of catheter care
- Experienced caring for mares pre and post foaling, as well as neo-natal foals
- Ability and willingness to complete general stud duties
- Attention to detail and ability to assess the health and wellbeing of mares and foals
- A clear communicator and accurate record keeper
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
- A team player with a can-do attitude
