Job Description

**About The Role**
The St Vincent de Paul Society QLD Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Services are growing, and we want you to be part of our team.

As the State Clinical Lead, you will play a _pivotal _role in leading change management initiatives across our statewide AOD programs. The service aims to provide collaborative, equitable and comprehensive support to clients using the service. You will provide leadership and be responsible for the day-to-day clinical leadership of the AOD teams across the state. Your responsibilities will include identifying and developing contemporary treatment and recovery approaches aligned with SVdP’s AOD Model of Service, the National Quality Framework for Drug and Alcohol Treatment, and the Queensland AOD Treatment and Harm Reduction Outcomes Framework (THROF).

The St Vincent de Paul Society QLD Programs are focused on high quality, effective and person-centred support, aligning practice to the Human Services Quality Framework (HSQF).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Guiding Practice & Accreditation - align SVdP QLD AOD Services with National & State Frameworks.
- Leadership & Team Management - support training, development, and effective people management.
- Clinical Governance - embed clinical governance aligned with the National Quality Treatment Framework.
- Change Management - drive initiatives to enhance AOD service delivery.
- Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement - represent and advocate for SVDP with networks and the broader community.
- Service Delivery Improvement - identify opportunities and collaborate to implement & monitor improvements.
- Policy & Procedure Development - stay informed about emerging trends and best practices**.**

This is a **fixed-term (until 30/06/2025) full-time (38 hours per week) role **based in** South Brisbane.**

Desired Skills and Experience

**To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria**:

- Degree qualification in Management, AOD, Mental Health, Social Work and/or Community Services
- Clinical Supervision qualification.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant AOD sector position responsible for change management, service delivery improvement, and strategic planning.
- Strong knowledge of AOD best practice including policies, procedures, frameworks and legislation, and service delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and working relationships in support of networking and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Aptitude for individual autonomy, time management, and attention to detail.
- Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
