**Quantity Surveyor.**

**Overview**
Working hours: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm
Location: Melbourne CBD
Client name: TBC (Once completed registration)
Contract length: 6 months
Start date: ASAP

**Summary of position**
The Quantity Surveyor will measure, estimate and manage the cost/value of construction throughout the PSD (Platform Screen Doors) / PEB (Platform Edge Barriers), supporting the timely and accurate reporting of the earned value, and supporting the preparation and submission of progress claims.
During the construction, the Quantity Surveyor will provide support to the Global Project Manager in the valuation of any claims received from the Installation Contractor.

**About the role**
- Carry out monthly inspections and valuations of work in progress, including witnessing installation, testing and commissioning of those works in progress
- Prepare and monitor project cashflow forecasts, including forecasting of likely final cost
- Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations
- Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting correspondence
- Prepare, submit and negotiate project final accounts
- Vet commercial sub-contractor tenders and contracts
- Certify subcontractor monthly valuations a final account
- Ensure business commercial processes are adhered to at project level
- Assist in preparation of, and adherence to, project purchasing targets and budget costs
- Manage and produce accurate reports in accordance with business timetable
- Monitor commercial information in relation to project including labour, material, and sub-contractor cost forecasting to ensure budgets are adhered to
- Supply relevant information to Civil Interface Manager and Installation Manager for review at specified times
- Complete other duties as required

**Qualifications**
- Experience in Contract Management / Administration
- Relevant qualification in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Driver’s Licence.
- Rail Industry Worker card; and
- White card
