Are you passionate about helping young people and making a positive impact on their mental health? _headspace Casey Cardinia_ is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our School Services team

As a **Mental Health Clinician** at headspace, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health support to young people.

Some of your key deliverables will include to:

- Establish the needs of potential clients through open and empathetic discussions
- Engage in system consultation, ensuring that our services are flexible and tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual
- Provide evidence-based psychological interventions and care coordination for young people who may be disengaged from education
- Conduct assessments, including MSE, risk, and discipline-specific assessments, using the HEADSS assessment tool
- Deliver evidence-informed psychosocial interventions to young people and their families, providing them with valuable information on mental health, drug and alcohol problems, and available support services

As **Mental Health Clinician, **you will be imbedded into the School Services Team at headspace Casey Cardinia. You** **will work in a multidisciplinary team that will focus on providing support to young people (aged 12-18) that are disengaged from education. There will also be opportunities to participate in community awareness and engagement activities, both onsite and offsite, as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or a related discipline
- Membership or eligibility for membership with AASW or APHRA, depending on your qualifications
- Highly developed problem-solving and negotiation skills, particularly when working with young people in the early stages of help-seeking
- A deep understanding of common mental health and social problems faced by young people, as well as evidence-based treatment options
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, maintain positive stakeholder relationships, and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
