**About the role**.**:
This role works closely within a strategic procurement area which consists of several groups dedicated to the provision of quality centralised procurement services, and will utilise a blend of customer focus, interpersonal, commercial/legal, procurement and ICT technical skills in their daily duties.

**Key responsibilities**.**:

- Facilitating the delivery of low risk, low value and transactional sourcing required by the annual ICT Program of Work
- Liaising closely with the ICT Sourcing Specialist team, and ICT Category Management team to ensure alignment with SPO strategies and ongoing management and development of supplier relationships
- Establishing and maintaining internal customer relationships with key contacts to ensure the effective management of sourcing activities

**Highly desirable criteria**.**:

- Demonstrated experience in sourcing in a large complex ICT function within a large commercial organisation or Government environment;
- Completed a Degree in an ICT, Business or Commerce related area or have equivalent working experience;
- Basic understanding of contract law, including exposure to procurement contracts with an ability to balance price/quality/time/relationship trade-offs with suppliers.

**Skills and experience**.**:

- Experience working in local or state government procurement, combined with a general knowledge of ICT products and services and related supply arrangements
- Proven ability to plan and execute multiple RFQ processes through to contract award efficiently and in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, and processes
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the successful negotiation, formation and management of contracts and supplier agreements that meet organisational targets
