Braybrook, Australia KU Children's Services Full time

**About Us**

KU Children's Services (KU) is a leading NFP provider of nearly 130 early childhood education and care services in NSW, VIC, the ACT and QLD. KU is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected providers of long day care, preschool, outside school hours care, family programs and early intervention services.

KU is part of the Victorian Inclusion Agency Consortium (VIAC) together with Yooralla and Community Child Care Association. VIAC receives Australian Government funding to operate the state-wide Victorian Inclusion Agency (IA) as part of the Inclusion Support Programme (ISP).

The ISP provides support to mainstream Child Care Subsidy approved early childhood education and care services to build their capacity and capability in providing quality inclusive practices for all children. Primary support is from Inclusion Agencies that are made up of skilled and dedicated Inclusion Professionals (IP’s).

The ISP is not a disability program but an inclusion program, which prioritises support for children with additional needs. The ISP is designed to ensure that all children’s experiences are recognised and valued, and all children have equitable access to resources and participation, and opportunities to demonstrate their learning and to value differences.

**The Role**

We are recruiting for a motivated professional who has a passion for working in inclusion and who is wanting to be part of a dynamic team that supports reflective inclusive practises and local community program collaborations.

**You will work 8 hours per day, Monday-Friday and accrue a monthly rostered day off. Due to current funding, the initial contract will be until the end of June 2023, however extension to 30 June 2025 is imminent **.**

There is the opportunity to be **based out of the Brimbank area **with a potential for flexible work arrangements and visiting the hub for major meetings.

**What the role of IP looks like**:

- Identifies the strengths, capacity and capability of educators to ensure that support provided is tailored to educator and ECEC service needs.
- Works to promote a clear understanding of inclusion, which focuses on all children being seen as capable and contributing in their environment.
- Works closely with other Inclusion Agency team members to deliver inclusion support, which is flexible and responsive to the needs of ECEC services within the jurisdiction and in accordance with the ISP Guidelines.
- Supports Educators to take into account all children’s social, cultural and linguistic diversity (including learning styles, abilities, disabilities, gender, family circumstances and geographic location) as part of their curriculum decision-making processes.
- Refers to the VIA practise framework. This is a guiding document that underpins IP practice, it describes the different ways IP’s can engage with ECEC Educators and local community stakeholders

**What you'll get in return**
- Competitive salary and employee benefits
- Ongoing professional development
- Flexible work arrangement
- Opportunity to work in an impactful role within a supportive & committed team
- Future internal career progression opportunities
- Onsite Staff Parking

**How do you apply?**
- KU Children’s Services is committed to being a child safe organisation. We put children’s safety and wellbeing at the centre of our practices. Child safety is a shared responsibility across the organisation. All KU staff contribute to maintaining our child safe culture and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the children in our services and programs. KU has a zero tolerance of harm or abuse of children. _

**COVID19 Vaccination**
