**JOB DETAILS**:
We are seeking an experienced
**Health Promotion** or
**Community**
**Development Officer** or
**Mental Health OT**, passionate about advocating for mental health and wellbeing across school settings.
You will work under the direction of the State/Territory Manager to deliver and support schools and systems to implement and embed the youth mental health and wellbeing program within your state/territory.
**Role details**:
- **Full time - 6 month contract - potential for program extension June 2023**:
- Demonstrate the integrated framework to prospective and participating schools to assist them in implementing the components relevant for their individual circumstances, leading to the ongoing professional development of school staff.
- Build relationships with prospective and participating schools, providing support and resources to help them implement the program effectively
- Maintain regular communication with these schools
- Identify and build relationships with relevant organisations within their assigned territory
- Participate in conferences and other events related to the initiative
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and evaluation of the initiative
- Other duties as required or requested by the State/Territory Schools Manager

**SELECTION CRITERIA**:
- **A relevant tertiary qualification in Public Health Promotion, Community Development, Education, Occupational Therapy and/ or Mental Health**:
- Experience in influencing change and working in collaborative partnerships with school leadership teams and/or education authorities
- An understanding of youth mental health issues including suicide postvention, suicide, and the impact of trauma on school communities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work and interact with a broad range of people, including school principals and leaders, teachers, health professionals, academic researchers, service providers
- Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience writing for, and presenting to, diverse audiences
- Experience in stakeholder management specifically with schools
- Use of data for record keeping, analysis and evaluation
- Strong organisational, computer and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a highly productive environment with time pressures while managing multiple tasks
- A current driver’s licence and access to a fully maintained motor vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- **Able and willing to travel with overnight stays as required**
