Metal Fabricator

Paulger Engineering is a truck body fabricator based in Yandina, specialising in the building of truck bodies, service bodies, crane trucks, tippers, etc. and are looking for the right person to join our fabrication team as a Metal Fabricator.

Interpret technical drawings and specifications to fabricate metal components and structures

Measure and mark out workpieces for cutting, shaping and assembly

Use a variety of hand and power tools to cut, bend, shape, and join metal components

Operate metalworking machinery such as presses, drills, grinders, and welding equipment

Assemble and fit metal parts to form complete units or subassemblies

Check and inspect completed workpieces for quality and accuracy

Main duties of this position:
Fabricate metal components and structures to meet client specifications and design requirements

Weld and join metal parts using MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques

Cut and shape metal using saws, shears, and other cutting equipment

Use hand and power tools to bend, drill, grind, and finish metal parts

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other design documents

Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of projects

Qualifications required:
The applicant must hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent.

Essential skills required:
Strong fabrication and welding skills

Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
