**About the Opportunity**:
As a Carbon Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of our sustainability strategy, working closely with our Sustainability Manager to shape and implement our decarbonisation goals. You'll play a crucial role in integrating sustainability into every aspect of our operations, focusing on carbon markets, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy transition. Your work will directly inform key decisions and strategies that drive CleanCo's commitment to a sustainable future. Key duties will include:

- **Data & Analysis**: Dive deep into complex data, extracting insights that will shape our carbon strategy and inform stakeholders across the business. You'll contribute to the development of a cutting-edge enterprise-wide data hub to manage and monitor ESG metrics.
- **Communication & Reporting**: Craft compelling reports that clearly communicate your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. You'll collaborate with teams across the business to ensure accurate and timely reporting of ESG data, particularly focusing on carbon emissions.
- **Policy & Strategy**: Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our decarbonisation strategy and climate transition action plan. You'll stay ahead of global trends, ensuring CleanCo remains a leader in sustainability.

**About you**:

- 8-10 years of experience in sustainability, carbon analysis, emissions trading systems, and Environmental Social & Governance (ESG)
- Extensive knowledge of carbon legislation, energy transition, and greenhouse gas protocols
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in advanced data software, including Excel and Power BI
- Proven experience in coordinating with third-party providers and sub-consultants
- Excellent project management, communication, and report writing skills
- Relevant degree in engineering, science, management, environment, sustainability, or a related discipline
- Specialist education in carbon/greenhouse gas emissions or energy transition is highly regarded
