**Job description**:
**The Opportunity**
We are currently seeking Procurement and Contract Support Officers to join our State Government client SA Pathology for a long term contract.
**The Role**:
The Procurement and Contract Support Officer is responsible for facilitating the contract renewal activities of SA Pathology. This includes contract renewals of biomedical equipment maintenance, reagent consumables and other items as required by SA Pathology laboratories.
**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Providing a high level of advice and services in relation to best practice procurement and contract management.
- Implementing procurement and contract management strategies in conjunction with key SA Pathology stakeholders, including the review of necessary procurement and contract management documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements in order for SA Pathology to achieve value for money in its procurement and contract management operations.
- Undertaking risk assessments, establishing mitigation strategies and controls, and monitoring risks to procurement and contract management projects.
- Maintaining business systems that support procurement and contract management processes, including Oracle and the Procurement and Contract Management System (PCMS).
- Providing a high level of procurement advice, consultancy services, and probity advice to procurement processes.
- Develop and provide support and guidance in the formulation of acquisitions, tender, evaluation, risk management, negotiation, contracts, and contract management plans, document and strategies.
- Conducting research and developing recommendations to support the procurement and contract management activities for SA Pathology.
- Establish and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and service providers.
**About You**:
In addition, you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills across a multi-disciplinary environment including the capacity to undertake effective liaison and communication with a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under limited direction, either independently or in a team, and to analyse complex information, meet deadlines and work under pressure, and effectively use work related resources and information.
- Comprehensive understanding of contract management, contract governance, contractual language and the contract lifecycle.
- Ability to think critically, and the ability to research and understand legal and financial implications.
- Exceptional attention to detail, and talent for accuracy and precision.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to deliver business outcomes.
