Our Director of Agronomy **Steve Chappell**, and our Golf Course Superintendent **David Hay** are recruiting a new agronomy team for our newly renovated golf course here in Perthshire due to open 2025.

An exciting opportunity to be in part of the refurbishment and 'grow in' works. Ideal for** Greenkeepers** who are prepared to go the extra mile supporting their team and who enjoy coming to work with a smile ready for another great day

Duties will be varied according to the time of year and weather conditions and involve a variety of tasks that maintain the health and appearance of the golf course. There will never be a shortage of tasks in this stunning location, so you must have the desire to support your team in this friendly and stimulating environment by working with others to achieve the overall business objectives.

Being naturally punctual and motivated with a ‘can do’ positive attitude who takes pride in what they do, is just what is needed to thrive in this fantastic new project.

**_ Key Responsibilities:_**
- Work on the golf course and the maintenance team, as directed by the Director of Agronomy, Steve Chappell in accordance with the golf course maintenance policy, the health and safety policy and the Greenkeepers Code of Conduct
- Be involved in the renovation and 'grow in' projects and activities
- Carry out effective turf maintenance schedules and, programmes maximising the course efficiency
- Prepare the course for play - including marking hazards, grounds for repair and ensuring tee markers, bunkers, golf furniture and general green maintenance is carried out to a 5* standard
- Co-manage and conduct the preparation of machines for use
- Support development of junior team members with their knowledge by sharing your expertise
- Work closely with the greenkeeping team
- Support with operating and maintaining irrigation systems and drainage systems
- Manage the control of weeds, pests and disease
- Communicate information to staff, management and golfers
- Maintain a professional and welcoming approach at all times when dealing with members, guests & visitors
- As and when required carry out remedial and preventative work around the site to support other areas of the business

**_Skills and Qualifications: _**

**Desirable Qualifications (but not essential)**
- Proficient in the use Information Communication Technology
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Management, PA1, PA2 and PA6A spraying certificates
- Certified to operate Chainsaws
- Full UK Driving Licence Required with necessary classes to carry out your role on the maintenance team

**Desirable Skills**
- Previous experience in a similar role and/or environment preferred
- Knowledge of the game of golf with the ability to learn policies, rules and regulations
- Excellent communication skills to direct guests on the golf course
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Good attention to detail and visual presentation
- Ability to work under pressure and juggle competing priorities with minimum supervision, combined with effective time management
- Natural ability to resolve queries in a practical and positive manner
- Positive and flexible approach to work
- Strong team player
- Knowledge of all applicable legislation, regulations, and best practice, including Health and Safety, to ensure compliance including following all legislative guidelines for the preparation, use and disposal of chemicals, the safe use of tools, p
