Trainee Tyre Fitter

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Tyre Fitters are responsible for installing and maintaining tyres on vehicles, to ensure that all of the tyres are properly inflated, balanced, and aligned to ensure safe driving.

Tyre Fitters may also be tasked with repairing or replacing damaged tyres. This might include patching punctures in the tread or sidewall, replacing entire tyres if they’re irreparably damaged, or even replacing entire wheels if they’re bent or cracked beyond repair.

Day-to-day duties may include:

- diagnosing problems with tyres and recommending solutions, including installing new tyres or repairing punctures or other damage
- measuring tread depth and inspecting tyres for signs of damage, such as bulges or cracks
- installing new tyres on vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
- inspecting vehicles for alignment problems, flat spots, wear patterns, cracks in the treads, or other damage to the wheels.
