Netball Coach

April - August contract

**THE POSITION**

The college is seeking an experienced Netball Coach for an immediate start for the upcoming season.

The college competes as in the MDNA Club Season 2023 Saturday Day competition which runs from April - August/ (Finals) September.

Sport is an integral component of the College’s Co-Curricular programme and complements the College’s holistic commitment to the physical and emotional development of students.

The Sports Coach will be responsible to the Head of Primary Sport for the day to day running of the coaching programs/training sessions.

All staff are appointed by the CEO & Executive Principal of MBC and MBBC and they are responsible to him for the over-all performance of their duties. The CEO & Executive Principal delegates his authority to senior staff members for the effective management of the College.

All staff need to be supportive of the values, Christian ethos and Ethical Statement of this Uniting Church day school for girls from PP-12.

**Further Information**:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To attend all Training sessions (minimum one per week)
- Coach and mentor teams
- Attend Saturday fixtures at MDNA at the times scheduled.

**SKILLS AND ABILITY**

- Previous experience coaching a Netball Team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide positive and clear instructions.
- Ability to use initiative.
- Well-developed communication skills.
- Commitment to their work and to the achievement of excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as part of a team.

**CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS**
- Completion of a community coaching course or Level 1 coaching experience desirable.
- Current First aid certificate including CPR desirable.
- Working with Children Suitability Card is essential.
