**Position Summary**:
Support Workers will be responsible for providing care and supports to Point Care NDIS participants in alignment with Point Cares policies and procedures and the national NDIS practice standards.

**Reporting to**: The Client Services Manager and the Team Leader (Support Worker) if directed.

**Direct Reports**: Nil

**Works with**:Other Support Workers and Allied Health Staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to clients in accordance with their NDIS plans.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, bathing, and grooming.
- Provide transportation assistance to clients.
- Provide respite care to clients and their families.
- Provide overnight/sleepover care.
- Assist with medication administration ensuring that Point Care medication administration policies are followed.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of clients' care plans and progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other members of the care team.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest developments and best practices in the NDIS field.

**Skills and Experience**:

- A minimum of a high school or equivalent.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Individual Support or working towards completion highly regarded.
- Experience working with people with disabilities highly regarded.
- Day shifts, nights, sleepovers, weekends.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and its guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience with CRM software and NDIS portals.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work with a diverse client base, understanding the different support needs of clients based on their abilities, cultural backgrounds, and language requirements.
- Basic care and first aid skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
