**About the role
The Installation Commissioner will be required to carry out commissioning of new, refurbished and existing refrigeration systems for projects conducted by the Installation division with a focus on quality, energy efficiency and minimising ongoing maintenance issues. You will co-ordinate the day-to-day and site specific aspects of the commissioning portion of the installation of commercial refrigeration systems and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required in new and refurbished stores. The role will see you provide efficient and effective operational Design and Installation delivery. This is a field base role and you will be required to travel to sites across QLD and Northern NSW and requires flexibility around shifts required.
**What you’ll do:
- Assist the State Manager and Project Estimators in the assessment of site conditions for the preparation of site surveys for tendered projects.
- Assist the State Manager and Project Estimators in determining the control requirements for specific projects.
- Liaise with engineering stakeholders on new equipment developments on project specific basis.
- Review site specific documents at project inception to mitigate against issues or omissions throughout project - Engineering, site plans, and electrical schematics - as well as any other documentation as deemed necessary.
- Creation and submission of I/O lists for controls schedules.
- Development of controller programs and setpoint files for site specific requirements.
- Commissioning of all refrigerated plant and equipment and including but not limited to Compressor racks, satellite systems, condensers, Control systems, mechanical controls, refrigerated fixtures etc.
- Assist Project Managers with planning and scheduling day-to-day commissioning activities on the job site.
- Preparation and submission of commissioning documentation for As Built files and operational manuals.
- Liaise with customer representatives for commissioning checks
- Provide site specific instruction to store managers on refrigeration controls and equipment.
- Assist and encourage leading hands with regard to facets of commissioning that they are unfamiliar with.
- Meet with the customer and his/her designated Project Manager as required to address any site specific non
- conformances with regard to commissioning and system operation.
- Understand all customer specifications and unique state-based requirements as they relate to specific assigned projects or tasks.
- Keep the State Manager and customer Project Managers advised of all job progress, delays, variations etc, on a weekly basis.
- Attend progress meetings as required to advise of all issues concerning the timely and economical completion of all projects.
**About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience within the supermarket refrigeration industry.
- Trade qualification - Certificate III in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
- High level verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Intermediate level of ability with Microsoft Office Suite
- Understanding of the Trades Practices Act
- Strong end to end processes and lean processes
- High level of customer service delivery, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
