**THE ROLE**

We are seeking a
- ** Driver Offsider** to join our busy Contract Logistic team in Queensland.

This position is required to assist the Driver in the delivery of freight and undertake the safe loading. The Offsider liaises with the Transport or Sensitive Freight Supervisor, Warehouse Operations Manager, Operations Co-ordinator and warehouse staff, ensuring that each transport job is completed to the satisfaction of our clients. Be familiar with all processes in day-to-day running of current, or assigned Logistics accounts. Ensure that all counts are performed accurately and any discrepancies are investigated and reported. Ensure all receiving/dispatch paperwork is completed and passed on to the administration person, or in the case of Radio Frequency that all transactions are processed accurately.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Accompany and assist the Driver in the delivery of freight Safe loading, securing and unloading of equipment or freight using safe working practices
- To ensure the required delivery and customer documentation is prepared correctly using accurate information and ensures this documentation is returned to the Transport or Sensitive Freight Supervisor
- Perform the relocation of fragile freight without damage and in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure through company representation to ensure that clients are satisfied
- Ensure that fragile freight is securely protected and restrained prior to loading the vehicle to ensure no damage is caused to the freight
- Load, unload and place in position fragile freight using the appropriate handling devices. This includes: Tailgate Loaders, Various Trolleys, Restraint Equipment, Packaging Materials and Electric Stair Climbing Equipment
- Relief drive (where licensed)
- Follow instructions and take guidance set out by the respective driver
- Travel away from home for multiple nights per trip
- Use SMS Messaging system or mobile phone in each vehicle to keep in contact with the Supervisor
- When a company vehicle is reversing in a difficult or a busy situation the Offsider will be required to guide the driver until the vehicle is clear to proceed safely
- When Drivers are making contact with the customer’s or operation staff the Offsider will prepare the vehicle for loading or unloading of the freight
- Work in a warehouse and perform warehouse or Storeperson activities as required
- Perform allocated tasks in line with given instructions & customer/company guidelines
- Receive product accurately
- Pick orders using a forklift as required and as per stated instructions and company guidelines
- Pack orders as required with focus on accurate and correct packing
- Dispatch orders as required using systems and with correct data handling
- Ensure all handovers are accompanied by clear name and signature
- Maintain the accuracy of the inventory by accurate processing

- Previous experience required on both High Reach and counter balance forklifts fitted with clamps or standard tynes
- Previous experience in Logistics/Supply Chain Warehouse particularly in the areas of receiving, dispatch and stock control
- General WHS awareness of legislative/Company requirements
- Working knowledge of Material Handling Equipment and Warehouse Management Systems
- Truck License (preferred)
- Forklift License (preferred)
