**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**

The Concierge Team Leader works closely with colleagues within City of Melbourne Libraries and across City of Melbourne branches providing high quality concierge services and customer support. The position manages all aspects of safety and security at the site, including the liaison with relevant CoM departments including City Safety, Security and Amenity. The Concierge Team Leader supports facilities management and venue operations including the space and room bookings, implements safety and security processes, and monitors and responds to security systems.

The Concierge Team Leader supervises the work of and provides support to the Concierge team on site. The position establishes relationships with agencies, networks and onsite tenants to proactively participate in the safety and vitality of the precinct. The Concierge Team Leader contributes to the development of neighbourhood-specific strategies to address disruptive challenges and to identify cooperative opportunities.

This position will be required to work regular weekend shifts.

**What you will bring (selection criteria)**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications such as Certificate III in Security Operations or equivalent, and/or two years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in providing high quality customer and/or concierge service in a busy environment
- Proven ability to de-escalate challenging situations through verbal and body language
- Developed knowledge and experience working with Health and Safety, OHS and building management systems
- Demonstrated experience in leading a team to achieve high performance outcomes with coaching skills to develop team capabilities, team cohesion and the ability to effectively manage conflict and under performance.
