**The Organisation**

The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled organisation that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal Community and is the largest organisation of it’s kind in Australia. **About the role**

This role is responsible for coordinating and facilitating a series of peer support groups and yarning circles for centre staff and users of the centre, as well as the ongoing learning and development of frontline staff on Cultural Safety. Fellow team members in the Peer Support and clinical divisions will seek daily advice on best practice working with Aboriginal families or carers of Aboriginal children, and this role will provide day-to-day support for culturally safe service provision.

The role will take direction from the Cultural Practice Lead and the Family Carer Led Centre Advisory Group

**About You**
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’s vision and purpose
- Demonstrated skills and experience in Learning and Development, Instructional Design, training and Adult Education
- Learning and Development expertise in creating training content with creative flair and sophisticated graphic design
- Experienced instructional designer of face to face, virtual and e-learning initiatives across short to long course formats
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills in order to conduct community consultations, and write, design and deliver workshops
- A relevant tertiary qualification in education or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or less formal qualifications with significant industry experience, are desirable but not essential
- **Requirement**: Current COVID-19 vaccination (including booster dose, as applicable), a Working with Children’s Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain), a Police Check, and a full Victorian Drivers Licence
