- The Commissioning Manager is responsible to ensure that all commissioning activities of the project are completed on time and in compliance with the project requirements, procedures and plan._

**In this role, you will undertake the following duties.**
- Receive tender and proposal and validate this tender and produce a report for same - Assessing feasibility of project in relation to technical, financial and organization resources of the company.
- Maintain good site relations with the client to ensure continuity and repeat orders on a negotiated basis. Discuss further proposals with the client and possible future projects and partnerships where feasible.
- Construct, develop and implement plans of action to meet client’s needs.
- Exploring the client relationship and developing a partnership as to meet client’s needs but keep company out of risk and in a profitable position.
- Take responsibility of any special engineering, design, location or scale factors affecting the project, by monitoring projects and solving problems proactively.
- Determine project team size and make up with contracts by developing an organgram, interview team members, employ and control of people.
- Establish site establishment and services. Requisition all site establishment and services and ensure that services are utilised and maintained.
- Hold on site meetings to establish any deviations and problems and take action to solve such.
- Control total services on site, as required such as QS, construction, commissioning, estimating, engineering, and quality, administration and procurement.
- Ensure that all information is available to planners and detailed plan is drawn up. Set up procedures to ensure information is channeled to planning department and monitor such procedures and reports.
- Monitor performance against the programme.
- Structure procedures for identification of activities for specific computer monitoring.
- Ensure that systems for the recording and reporting of work are compiled and material and equipment movements are adhered to.
- Report on progress in detail and at intervals
- Liaise with and ensure co-ordination with other divisions and departments.
- Authorise all requisitions and ensure that appropriate procedures are adhered to.
- Responsible for the development of subordinates and their training to ensure maximum performance. By evaluating subordinates and ensuring their development by training them or sending those on training that is required.
- Responsible for safe operations of all staff on projects.
- Control industrial relations on site and liaise with the HR Department on problem areas.
- Ensure that schedules and targets are met and that on site estimating is carried out correctly.
- Liaise with client with a view to maintaining positive cash flow.
- Ensure project contribution is achieved.
- Present accurate monthly report for subsidiary review.
- By liaising where necessary with required department.
- Ensure that materials are never purchased without a purchase order.
- Ensure that monthly measures are carried out in detail and agreed with the client. Ensure that the agreed measure is submitted to Head Office on time and that invoices submission deadline is met.
- Ensure that the accumulative manhours expended record per category is maintained on site at all times.
- Maintain standards of HSSE and comply with Company’s Health, Safety & Environment.
- Management System requirements.
- Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time.
