**About the role**

The overall purpose of the position of Lecturer - Osteopathy is to make significant contributions to the teaching effort in the osteopathy discipline and to contribute to the College through academic relevant administrative activities. An academic at this level is also expected to play a role in scholarship and professional activities.

The position of Lecturer will design and teach units, including online and preparatory material, as well as convene units of study. The position of Lecturer - Osteopathy may be required to teach into both the undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University.

An example of duties you may perform includes:

- Develop and facilitate learning activities online, face-to-face or in a blended capacity in units linked to the Osteopathy discipline;
- Participate in administrative duties and academic leadership such as Unit Convenor, attend discipline and college meetings and/or membership of committees.
- Independently prepare and deliver curriculum content, including unit coordination, marking, assessment and consultation with students.
- Engage in scholarly teaching practice, including the evaluation and continuing improvement of teaching practice.

**This is a part-time position Lecturer in Osteopathy (Teaching Focused Academic) at Teaching Focused Academic B, $101,598 - $120,647 classification plus 17% superannuation working 29.4 (.8 FTE) hours per week.**

**About the person**

The successful incumbent will be someone with energy who is innovative, progressive and collaborative in the way they work. They will be an excellent communicator who interacts well with others across the College and the University. The Lecturer - Osteopathy will contribute to the strength of the discipline of Osteopathy within the University by collaborating with staff across the First Year College and in the College of Sport, Health and Engineering in both teaching and research activities.
