CSIRO’s Manufacturing Business Unit brings together multi-disciplinary scientific and engineering capabilities using world-class infrastructure to partner with industry in order to develop innovative products and processes to allow Australian manufacturers to be globally competitive and environmentally sustainable.
As a GMP Technician, you will work closely with CSIRO’s National Vaccine and Therapeutics Laboratory (NVTL) in the production of biologics for clinical trials (Phase I and beyond).

This role has scope for gaining experience with upstream processing and in order to meet production schedules, this role may require weekend work.
**Your duties will include**:
- Performing downstream processing activities in cleanroom conditions to meet production schedules.
- Adhering to the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Pharmaceutical Quality System (PQS).
- Identifying and reporting quality events in a timely manner according to procedure and protocols and participating in investigations related to deviation and non-conformance.
- Participating in process reviews, CAPA actions and risk assessments.
- Perform all activities in a safe manner, following all safety-related procedures.
- Assisting in the commissioning, validation and re-validation of equipment.
- Contributing to audits by clients or regulatory bodies.

**Salary**:AU$68k
- AU$86k plus up to 15.4% superannuation
**Tenure**:Specified term of up to 3 years (till the end of September 2026).

**To be considered you will need**:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience with aseptic techniques.
- Prior experience working in GMP manufacture of biologics and maintaining a cleanroom environment (highly regarded).
- Ability to use judgement to select the best option for improving performance (better yields, higher quality, improved client satisfaction)
- A current Australian driver’s licence.
- Demonstrated track record of working collaboratively within a team to achieve results.

**Eligibility**:
