**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Gastroenterology **team as a** Medical Scientist, **where you will be responsible for:

- Contributing to the operation of an effective breath testing service by assisting in service delivery.
- Contributing to the effective delivery of the pH probe, manometry and impedance service by performing duties related to the delivery of the service when required. This involves conducting and supervising the insertion and removal of nasogastric catheters and analysis of pH/impedance and manometry data.
- Delivering other clinical laboratory services within the department when required.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:

- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Laboratory Science) or equivalent.
- Exceptional time management and priority setting skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently without supervision and as part of a team within the Gastroenterology Unit
- Experience working in a clinical service
- Generalised knowledge in Gastroenterology
