**About the role**: This position will see you provide training and assessment services in support of the skill development and competency maintenance of train crews, trainee train drivers, rail operators, contractors and other employees in accordance with relevant standards.
- Deliver technical and non-technical training and assessment services.
- Recommend appropriate remedial training and strategies counteracting learner challenges and difficulties.
- Conduct on-going recertification assessments of train crew members as required.
- Provide support in the in-filed instruction and coaching of rail operations trainees.
- Conduct training needs analysis and evaluation through consultation with customers and stakeholder to identify opportunities for process improvement and ultimately improve the effectiveness of training.
- Adapt learning delivery to suit a variety of audiences and leaning levels in a wide range of workplace settings, while still meeting key learning outcomes, performance indicators and quality levels
- Build and maintain extensive networks of stakeholders across the business to maintain awareness of safety and learning initiative and approaches, and learn from the knowledge, skills and experience of others.

**About you**:

- Must be a qualified train driver with extensive knowledge of driving to be able to develop training programs.
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or be prepared to gain the qualification.
- The ability to facilitate, mentor, coach and build relationships to create lasting attitudinal and behavioural change.
- High level of skill in working effectively both autonomously and in a dynamic team environment though motivation of self and others and consistently striving to improve.
