**Injury Management & WHS Coordinator**

**The Opportunity**:
This role will ideally suit an administrative superstar or someone who is interested in building their career in Injury Management and/or WHS, whether you are a recent graduate or looking for a career change. In this role you will be primarily responsible for the provision of administrative support to the Injury Management and WHS department to ensure compliance and Legal and Regulatory requirements.

You will work to improve effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and support the creation of new processes as strategies are reviewed. You will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve the objectives of Minda’s extensive WHS and IM requirements.

***You will be responsible for**:

- Collaboratively working with and assisting the Manager - Injury Management in effective and timely management of all workers compensation claims in line with Minda’s policies and procedures, statutory and self-insurance requirements
- Liaising with and providing return to work support to injured workers and collaborate with managers and supervisors on return-to-work plans
- Undertaking administrative duties, including but not limited to, the processing of expenses and the calculation of pays
- Entering of data into the self-insured management system
- Providing injury management data and reports and undertake basic analysis
- Assisting in developing and promoting strategies for the identification, prevention, and early intervention of work-related injuries
- Supporting regular WHS meetings including preparation of agendas, taking of minutes and follow up of action items
- Coordinating the WHS Committee and sub-committees including all secretarial tasks, participation and contribution, and regular liaison with Committee members and Health and Safety Representatives
- Monitoring compliance of all Minda Group Worksites Workplace Compliance activities through the development and administration of the Workplace Compliance Register which schedules and tracks WPI’s, WPI corrective Actions, Emergency Exercise Drills, Bushfire Preparedness activates etc
- Monitoring and reviewing corrective and preventative actions and coordinate associated action and review plans
- Assisting with providing WHS data and reports and undertake basic analysis

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Tertiary Qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent relevant industry experience
- Return to Work Coordinator Certification or willingness to complete
- Working knowledge of RTW Act and associated regulations is desirable
- Working knowledge of WHS Act, regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards is desirable
- Understanding of the Self Insurance Performance Standards/AS 4801 is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work with an ever-changing and complex organisation in an effective and productive manner
- Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

**Additionally, you will require**:

- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (Additional screening/clearances may be required to work in specific areas)
- National Police Clearance
- Valid and unrestricted South Australian Driver’s Licence
- Have flexibility to travel to service regions, sites and locations
