**What You Will Be Doing**
Peninsula Health is committed to encouraging and fostering an environment of continued learning and skill development. Trainees are ensured protected training time. They are encouraged to attend local/National conferences and workshops. In addition they are required to participate in a fortnightly Journal Club, weekly grand rounds, monthly clinical meetings and training sessions. There is also an opportunity to participate in teaching medical students, perform audits and undertake research.

We have one Persistent Pain Registrar training position available. This position is accredited with the Faculty of Pain Medicine (ANZCA FPM) at Peninsula Health for Years 1 and 2 of training. The registrar will be primarily based at Frankston Hospital where they will be part of the Integrated Pain team consultant liaison service for acute inpatients. This team includes Pain Medicine Specialists and Clinical Nurse Consultant. This includes management of patients with acute exacerbations of persistent pain, with cancer
- related pain, for theatre based pain procedures and with persistent pain as a comorbidity to an acute admission. The registrar will also participate in the multidisciplinary outpatient clinic and pain management program at The Mornington Centre and at Frankston.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- MBBS or equivalent
- AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner
- Relevant experience as a Medical Practitioner - minimum of 2 years postgraduate training
- Have joined or otherwise eligible to join the AFRM training program
- Completion of Clover Clinical systems training at commencement of employment
- Ability to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team
- Sound clinical knowledge, skills and experience in contemporary medical and evidence based practice
