We are seeking an Assistant Minister who will wholeheartedly embody these values, bringing passion and vision to our youth ministry while embracing the broader mission of church life.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Youth Ministry: Plan, coordinate, and oversee the youth program, ensuring it aligns with our ministry goals and contributes to the broader church community.
- Leadership Development: Actively participate in ministry training initiatives across the parish to effectively support and equip lay leaders. This includes coordinating and facilitating training sessions for youth ministry leaders to foster a culture of growth and development.
- Pastoral Care: Provide pastoral support to youth and young adults, and encouraging active participation in church life.
- Preaching & Teaching: Regularly preach at services, delivering clear, Bible-centered messages that resonate with youth and the wider congregation.
- Community Engagement & Evangelism: Helping create outreach opportunities to share the gospel.
- Additional Church Responsibilities: The role may include administering other significant aspects of church life, such as welcoming and integration initiatives and small group ministries.
**About You**:
- Degree or diploma in theology or ministry, with solid skills in teaching and preaching.
- A strong applicant will possess a deep passion for the entire church ecosystem. While a primary focus will be on youth ministry, the role also offers opportunities to engage in various areas of church life, equipping members to serve effectively and impactfully in the Gymea community.
