**About the role**:
Ampol is expanding into new and forward-facing Energy opportunities including e-mobility, hydrogen, batteries, renewables, and carbon. As the company executes on this vision, they are seeking to build leading digital and analytic capabilities with a deep connection to customers.

These capabilities will build on the scale of Ampol’s existing business with ~5m active retail customers. As we develop into new energy markets, it will also have scope to bring together integrated energy and mobility data for customers such as vehicle data, metering, and/or connected devices including batteries.

The Customer Strategy Analyst is a key role within the Data and Analytics team, responsible for how we develop the utilise customer data analytics, to enable an integrated business, supporting strategic decisions, and unlocking further opportunities with data. You will have the opportunity to build not just the functionality, but the core strategies and frameworks around Ampol’s move towards a ‘single view of the customer’.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Develop and maintain customer strategy models which quantify the commercial value of customers including cross product/channel linkages and marketing
- Integrate commercial analyses with understanding of customer journeys and needs to draw out key drivers of results and provide sound recommendations supporting the customer strategy
- Work with Customer stakeholders including Product Managers, Digital, and Marketing to support execution of strategy over time
- Work with advanced analytics teams to embed prescriptive analytics, measurement frameworks, and test and learn activities that provide actionable insights and clear commercial conclusions
- Provide insights and expertise into strategic projects such as product development, loyalty, and or partnerships, as required
- Develop and present insights and actionable recommendations

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working in an enterprise customer analytics capability responsible for driving value through data and insights; broad understanding of customer analytics opportunities in different business functions
- Experience with ‘Data as a Product’, having delivered Data Products end to end.
- Experience with Data Visualisation tools like PowerBI or Tableau
- Capable working with large data sets including SQL or R, and experience working with relevant big data technologies to wrangle data to deliver insights
- Proven experience working with diverse business stakeholders, business partnering and/or consulting experience
- Commercial understanding of customer profitability through P&L; experience developing commercial models
- Demonstrated experience independently leading initiatives and analyses end-to-end
