Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to work within Australia's leading broadacre and seed company.

This is a full -time position working Monday to Friday (7am -4pm).

As a Maintenance Fitter, your main responsibility will be to carry out a range of mechanical work on machines, sub-assemblies and manufacturing parts using a range of processes, tools and machines.

Key Accountabilities
- Maintaining & repairing machines
- Marking the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments.
- Assembling and fitting machined parts using drill holes and tap threads for bolting parts together
- Cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines
- Cleaning and lubricating assembled articles
- Shrink-fit parts during assembly, using oxy-acetylene torches and presses
- Manufacturing, repairing and fault-finding hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Operating powered machines which may be manually, or computer controlled
- Erecting machinery and equipment on site
- Inspecting machinery regularly and making any adjustments or repairs needed

About you:

- Forklift Licence desirable but not essential
- MR Licence desirable but not essential
- Experience with pneumatic-hydraulic work, fitting and machine maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret plans
- Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously and in a team
- Strong problem solving, mechanical reasoning and fault-finding skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards the job.
- Sound level proficiency in commonly used computer systems.
