Anglicare NSW is seeking a Carer Support Practitioner to join our team in an ongoing capacity. You will be working to grow and develop our pool of authorised carers through undertaking carer recruitment activities, assessments, and organisation of Carer training programs to ensure they can provide therapeutic parenting to children and young people.

You will work closely with Foster and Kinship Carers alongside the Permanency Support Program (PSP) Foster and Kinship Care Team to support high-quality care arrangements for children and young people.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Develop and execute community engagement strategies and partnerships for carer recruitment.
- Participate in foster and kinship carer assessment interviews and activities.
- Contribute to carer reviews and assist in organizing carer events, including training sessions.
- Assist in implementing Therapeutic Response Plans, especially with carers.
- Collaborate on creating a carer-to-carer mentoring program and overseeing its progress.

- A Diploma in Community Services, human services, social work, or welfare or equivalent.
- Experience in working with children, young people, their families, and carers.
- Experience in cultural strengths-based practice with Aboriginal people, families, and communities, then..

**What can we provide you?**
- Full-time and fixed-term contract
- A competitive salary range of $82,043 to $88,288 annually, plus 11% superannuation.
- Beneficial salary packaging under Anglicare's PBI status
