Thomas Hassall Anglican College is a vibrant P-12 independent College located with close

The College is seeking to employ casual Sports Assistants who are passionate about sport to
work with all staff to assist in the coordination and implementation of the Sports Programs in
Junior and Senior School.

**Key Selection Criteria**
the successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the
following criteria:

- Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible-based

Christian Church
- Flexibility and willingness to work collaboratively in teams
- Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills
- Positive, energetic, adaptable, flexible, enthusiastic, and professional approach to work
- A passion for excellence in Sport and Outdoor recreation

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Demonstrated experience in similar roles
- First Aid Certificate

- Valid NSW Working with Children details (WWCC)

**Casual Sport Assistant**

**Primary Purpose**:
The Casual Sports Assistant will work with all staff to assist in the coordination and
implementation of the Sports Program in Junior and Senior School. Role responsibilities are
outlined below.

**Accountable to**:
The Principal through the Junior/Senior School Sport Coordinator

**Directly reports to**:
Junior/Senior School Sport Coordinator

**Relates to**:
1. Staff
2. Students

**Major Responsibilities**
The Casual Sport Assistant is responsible to the Principal through the Junior/Senior School
Sport Coordinator for the following tasks:

- Work alongside the full-time Sports Administration Assistant to coordinate and

implement the Junior School Wednesday Sport Program and Senior School Tuesday
Sport Program
- Preparing, setting up and packing up of equipment
- Coaching and/or officiating College Sport
- Assisting with preparing equipment for MISA teams
- Attending MISA sport offsite as required
- Support College Sport staff in the smooth running of Junior and Senior School Sport
- Any other duties and requests at the direction of the Junior and Senior School Sport
- Coordinators- Conduct all duties in an ethical and professional manner
- Have a valid Working with Children Check

As this is a Casual position, the Junior/Senior School Sport Coordinator will communicate with
you on a regular basis to confirm your availability, and the dates and times you are required.
