**About QIMR Berghofer**:
QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute is focused on improving health by developing new diagnostics, better treatments and prevention strategies, specifically in the areas of Cancer Research, Infection and Inflammation, Mental Health and Neuroscience, and Population Health. Based on the Herston Health Precinct, we work in close collaboration with clinicians and other research institutes. QIMR Berghofer is home to more than 600 scientists, students and non-research staff.

**Cancer Research Program**

The Cancer Research Program comprises of 22 research groups with a leading role in fundamental cancer research, bench-to-bed, translational and clinical cancer research that drives excellence in cancer care. We work closely in collaboration with internal programs and external partners both nationally and internationally. We provide high-quality education and mentorship program to our workforce. We strive to increase our existing high impact on cancer research with continued discoveries and clinical trial advances.

The Queensland Cancer Centre, a new word class cancer hospital will be built within the precinct by 2028. It will include a full range of research, education and training facilities which will support continued and strengthen partnerships with the Institute.

**What are we looking for?**

We are currently seeking to employ outstanding independent researcher/s (Faculty) with a track record of success in publications and attracting externally competitive grant funding. We are particularly interested in hearing from experts working on topics of relevance to our program in one or more of the following research areas:

- Molecular biology especially new technology platforms, single cell, spatial transcriptional analysis
- Novel and/or unique cancer models with evidence of high impact knowledge gain or clinical translation
- Applied genomics and/or bioinformatics
- Clinical and translational research
- Cancer immunology or fundamental immunology with a link to understanding cancer immunotherapy
