Procurement Linepipes

On behalf of our client, we are seeking a full-time experienced Procurement Linepipes to be based in Brisbane, Queensland.
The SERVICE holder shall manage the Contracts and Procurement activities for our client’s supply of linepipes, including the administration of the tendering process, contract management to ensure that the Purchase Orders are managed in accordance with the agreed contractual terms and conditions and that Company’s interests are always protected.
The Procurement Engineer will manage the contract and procurement activities of the purchase orders issued in support of the Project, interfacing the other packages (e.g. EPC Onshore and EPC Offshore) and logistics both out of country and in-country.
The SERVICE holder will manage the procurement process for pipelines according to Company procedures and processes. The SERVICE holder will provide a quality, cost-effective and time efficient contract and procurement support to the Project. The SERVICE holder will participate in the optimization of the economic performance and risk reduction of the Project, ensuring full compliance with Company procurement rules and standards.
**The daily duties and responsibilities include**:
- Manage the Call for Tender and Purchase Orders for the linepipes, from preparation of Bid packages until
- Purchase Order or Cotnract signature and implementation
- Carry out market analysis in collaboration with the Category Management team
- Execute all the required commercial and contractual analysis.
- Manage daily activities participating in meetings and workshops with the SUPPLIERS as and when required
- Coordinate the evaluation of SUPPLIERS, including due diligence and support technical reviews.
- Reviews the SUPPLIERS procurement plans and procedures including sub-suppliers.
- Contract management activities, monitoring the work in progress, deliveries and support the technical team on monitoring quality of the products.
- Manage the communications with SUPPLIERS via e-Sourcing tools
- Collaborate with all the relevant function at Head Quarter (e.g. Category Management, and Technical Experts) and the Affiliate for the in-country works related to logistics
- Collaborate actively with all Contract team members to ensure, sharing of practices and effective management of interfaces with other packages
**Qualification & Experience Required**
- Qualification: Master Construction Law, Business, Qualification in Engineering / Construction Science would be a plus.
- International Experience Required
- 10 years, practical, relevant and progressive experience in preparation, negotiation, monitoring of technical contracts in Projects
- Personal Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of contract processes and contract management in projects.
- Good general knowledge and understanding of project control, commercial, legal and insurance matters, and “in depth” understanding of supply contracts.
- Very good understanding and knowledge of supply chain related to steel production facilities, from production to logistics to end customer:
- Very good analytical skills to understand and analyze commercial proposals.
- Good communication, organizational skills, capabilities to take workload and work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
**Salary**: From $100,000.00 per year
