**Role Description/Criteria**

Year Level/Subject: Primary

Educators who are passionate and committed to life long learning, have an understanding of contemporary learning and teaching practice in Visual Arts are encouraged to apply. Graduates are welcome to apply.

Becoming a member of Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School means you will be a part of the learning journey and ongoing development of our vibrant contemporary learning community where collaboration and team participation are essential.

Applicants will engage with learners across Foundation to Year 6 providing learners with rich learning opportunities and will:

- Facilitate learning that is developmentally appropriate and promotes Visual Arts
- Engage in learning in a collaborative manner within flexible learning spaces
- Understanding the content of the Arts curriculum and create learning approaches that engage students, enhancing and enabling each child to learn.
- Use purposeful assessment that provides data to drive and plan further teaching
- Seek opportunities for engagement in local and district Visual Arts learning opportunities

Applicants are required to:

- be accredited to teach religious education in a Catholic school
- hold current VIT registration
- have a sound knowledge of inquiry learning
- show a commitment to ongoing professional learning
- be committed to engaging in collaborative and facilitate planning
- engage in learning and teaching within flexible learning spaces.
