**Description**

The Social Skills Hub provides social skills coaching to children and young adults in the Bayside suburbs of Melbourne. We work with families of children and young adults to make them feel more confident in themselves and provide them the skills to identify emotions in themselves and others, and find ways to better communicate with those around them. We offer training in evidence based programs to deliver to small groups.

As a social skills coach you will facilitate small group programs. We work with families of children and young adults experiencing anxiety, school refusal and emotional dis-regulation.

No two days are the same, you will work within a friendly and supportive team environment working closely to support young people develop social skills in order to better communicate with those around them with the view to develop stronger relationships with their peers.

The position will suit someone with knowledge of neurodiversity and genuine desire to help make a difference.

A minimum of a higher education level qualification in a helping or teaching profession (including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, psychiatry, counselling, occupational therapy, speech pathology, education), and

A minimum of six months professional experience working with children in groups or with behavioural, attentional or social-emotional goals.

This is a contract based position. The position is based in Cheltenham. Core hours are Monday and Tuesday 4:15-6:15pm and Saturday afternoons.

You have high expectations and want to deliver high quality programs.

Applicants must have a current working with children’s check or equivalent.

**Job Types**: Casual, Contract
Contract length: 11 days

**Salary**: $60.00 - $100.00 per hour
