'This is a temporary flexible full-time position until 27 January 2024 with possible extension.'As the Advisor Information Security (Governance, Risk & Compliance), you have a customer-centric approach to your work and are passionate about being a part of a high performing group of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) that are committed to improving Information Security governance for the department. Here are some of the activities you can expect to be doing: - Assisting the Principal Advisor Information Security (Governance, Risk & Compliance) with the establishment and management of the information security work program, including supporting the management of governance bodies, the development of required program artefacts, coordination of status and progress reporting against agreed schedule, budget and quality criteria, and gaining agreement on key decisions and change requests. Provide assistance with departmental information security risk assessment activities and actively manage and monitor this information within the department's information security governance, risk and compliance tool. Interpret and analyse information security risk and control information. Undertake research and analysis of current and emerging cyber security industry best practice. Assisting the Principal Advisor Information Security (Governance, Risk & Compliance) to coordinate meetings and prepare appropriate agendas, minutes, status reports, information security reports and development and maintenance of program schedules and registers for Boards, Working Groups, and as-required key business and external stakeholder workshops and meetings. Contributing to the preparation of accurate and timely reports; gathering status updates from business stakeholders and governance committees, preparing high quality drafts for final review within timeframes as input to monitoring the performance of the program of work. Building strong relationships and establish networks with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of information security program activities. Coordinate training and appropriate artefacts for the department's Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance tool and processes. Providing high-level administrative support to the team including preparation, monitoring and review information security documentation.About you: With a passion for Information Security, you exhibit customer empathy, you can build strong stakeholder relationships and have a keen interest in assisting, tracking and reporting on the completion of information security program activities.
