The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) works in partnership with 15 National Boards to implement the national regulatory scheme for health professionals. The purpose of health practitioner regulation is to protect the public by ensuring that only health practitioners who have the skills, qualifications and knowledge to provide safe care are registered.

The Compliance Division within Ahpra is responsible for the managing the compliance of health practitioners and students with restrictions on their registration and/or prohibition to practice across 16 health professions. A Regulatory Support Officer - Compliance works as a member of a national team to support the delivery of a nationally consistent, quality, timely and risk-based Compliance service.

**Initially we are recruiting to full time, 12 month fixed term contract roles.**

**As a result of planned growth and development opportunities, we are recruiting for a number of current and future vacancies. These roles are based in our Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth Offices.**

**About you**

You have a strong understanding of what good case management looks like and a willingness to support a team with their riles. You have a passion for working with the public and a drive to work collaboratively within a dynamic and evolving team-based environment. You have the ability to exercise judgement and highlight with peers any risk factors that may impact a decision with sound reasoning.

As an individual, your ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across teams and functions will be one of the keys to your success. You will be communicating with health practitioners from all professions on a regular basis and the ability to tailor and adapt your communications to each individual is vital. **In this role you will**:

- Create the monitoring case consistent with agreed risk thresholds, current legislation, relevant principles, established policy and procedures and the delegated authority of the Board.
- Assist with the maintenance of the monitoring plan
- Prepare correspondence using templates and assist with the drafting of letters to health practitioners and other relevant parties
- Update and maintain databases including monitoring the accuracy, currency and validity of the data
