**About Ravenhall Correctional Centre**:
Ravenhall Correctional Centre is part of The GEO Group Australia, based west of Melbourne and is Victoria's largest prison for adult sentenced and unsentenced males. It's contemporary campus-style design provides a safe and humane environment that enables and nurtures GEO's Continuum of Care operating philosophy.

Ravenhall also has a dedicated Forensic Mental Health Unit, a specialised Closed Supervision Unit for prisoners with significant challenging behaviours, and a small Mission Based Unit for prisoners who have never been in custody before. In recognition of the importance of Continuum of Care, Ravenhall extends its presence into the community by providing ex-prisoners with access to post-release support at GEO’s Community Reintegration Centre

**About the Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking individuals with the skills and competency suitable for the HR Coordinator - Return to Work portfolio. As an experienced return to work coordinator, and reporting directly to the OHS Coordinator, you will be familiar with liaising with Workers Compensation insurance Agencies with sound knowledge around Victorian Workers Compensation legislation and the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as other relative legislation. You will also have knowledge regarding the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards and be mindful of the importance of this legislation when considering best practice return to work initiatives and plans for injured workers. The HR Coordinator - Return to work will also provide support for employees whom have non-work related injuries and require workplace support in order to successfully return to their roles.

As just one of the HR Coordinators at our centre, you will enjoy variety in your responsibilities and working portfolios amongst a cohort of like-minded HR professionals. Working within an interchangeable role between established and defined HR portfolios, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources team responsible for working collaboratively to support, coordinate and administer HR services across the full remit of designated portfolios, allowing you to to refine your skills and knowledge in any of the Payroll, Rosters, Return to Work, Performance or Recruitment HR Coordinator roles.

**As part of the HR Coordinator team, you will be expected to**:

- Work within an identified portfolio related to specific functions and deliverables of payroll, rostering, return to work, performance or recruitment related objectives.
- Work cooperatively with stakeholders to understand operational requirements and needs prior to development of solutions.
- Provide guidance and advice to staff and Leaders with regards to management of HR related queries associated with your portfolio and resolve people related matters effectively and efficiently.
- Undertake administrative related tasks associated with a variety of Human Resources functions.
- Maintain variety of databases in line with requirements, ensuring communication is routinely established to ensure appropriate recording / reporting and follow up actions are undertaken and documented appropriately in order to generate weekly, monthly and quarterly statistical reports as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement culture of the HR department by identifying and implementing process improvements and streamlined methods of operation where possible.
- Provide relief or backfill to other HR Coordinator portfolios or aspects thereof as required.

**As the designated HR Coordinator - Return to work, your functional responsibilities will be to**:

- Establish and maintain contact with the injured worker to assist injured workers to remain at work or commence return to work while they recover from a work-related injury.
- Lodge claims with insurers, ensuring initial notifications are lodged within reporting timeframes.
- Coordinate the worker's recovery at work, including assisting in identifying timely suitable and meaningful duties.
- Develop and implement rehabilitation and return to work plans for injured workers and monitor the progress of injured worker’s capacity to return to work.
- Maintain information and processes within the Elumina - Quicksafe (Injury Management system).
- Consult with the injured workers, their manager/supervisor, treating health practitioner, occupational rehabilitation provider, WorkSafe Agent or worker’s representative (if they have one) and any other relevant internal or external stakeholders as req
